In this book, we decided to consider only a few of the more than 150 existing analytical methods (spectroscopy, electrochemistry, chromatography, hybrid biological methods, and non-laboratory chemical analysis methods). When describing individual analysis methods, we sought to discuss the latest achievements in this field, especially those related to the constantly improving analytical measurement techniques, the design of new, more advanced analytical instruments, equipment: the development of optimal sample preparation systems (sampling and processing, fractionation, derivatization, etc.), the creation of reliable methods for identifying priority compounds, improving the quality of analysis when determining target compounds in complex and multicomponent mixtures of chemical compounds of various classes.

Special attention is paid to the most important applications of analytical chemistry: in ecology, biology and medicine, doping control, criminology, toxicology and rapid assessment of the state of natural and industrial facilities in extreme situations.

The publication can have a wide range of interested readers, including employees of SES and environmental laboratories, factory laboratories in various industries, food, clinical and forensic laboratories.

The structure of the textbook is determined by the time of the appearance (discovery) and dissemination of the method in practical research: first, spectroscopy, then chromatography, hybrid (combined) methods based on chromatographic separation of spectral detection, as well as biochemical analysis methods and test systems (non-laboratory analysis methods).

All these methods form the core of practical analytics and are widely used in various fields.
