Application:
A standard sample of the composition of a solution of cobalt ions is used :
- For calibration of measuring instruments (SI) designed to determine the content of cobalt ions by spectrophotometric, polarographic, voltammetric and atomic absorption methods in aqueous media, environmental objects, chemical and food products;
- To control the metrological characteristics of SI during their testing, including for the purpose of type approval;
- For certification of measurement methods and control of accuracy of the results of measurements of cobalt ion content by spectrophotometric, polarographic, voltammetric and atomic absorption methods in aquatic environments, environmental objects, chemical and food products.
CO can be used for verification and calibration of appropriate measuring instruments, provided that its metrological and technical characteristics meet the criteria established in the methods of verification and calibration of appropriate measuring instruments.
Technical specifications:
- The mass concentration of cobalt ions is 1.00 g/dm3;
- The limits of the relative error of the certified CO value at P = 0.95 are ± 1.0 %;
- Background of 1 M HNO3 (the standard sample is a solution of cobalt in 1 M nitric acid).
The shelf life of a copy of CO is 3 years.
